Pre safety R7

You do NOT need a press.....

You do NOT need to send it out to some expert that won't do anything to it that you can't do yourself.

A big bench vise makes it easier but you can get away without one. If you have a vise, remove the barrel and clamp the breech block in and simply pull or push the barrel in the direction it needs to go. Check it by eye until it looks straight relative to the breech block.

If you don't have a vise you can stick it in a receiver hitch on a truck padded with a piece of PVC pipe slipped over the barrel and do the same thing. Along with several other ways to do it and accomplish the same thing.

It will move easily, obviously, since that's how it got bent in the first place. The barrel won't kink or fold up or do anything crazy, it will just bend in a gradual bend and you won't even be able to notice it's happened when you are done.

I've done a ton of these on Weihrauchs, BSAs, Feinwerkbaus, Webleys, both breakbarrels and underlevers and every single one shot better and in the direction it was supposed to. It takes very little time, skill or effort and you'll never need to worry about goofy mounts or scopes running out of adjustment again.

Where in NY? Got burned really bad by Just Cuz some years back so I am once bitten twice shy. Give me the details anyway, I do trust you.
I'm in Merrick NY. I'm a Long Island Railroad Machinist. I've fixed many Weihrauch guns and barrels. I need to see how bent the barrel is to say I can fix it for sure. Some just aren't practical to fix. I'm sure there's people here that'll vouch for my ability and character. PM me if you have questions.

Just because the barrel is straight and parallel with the breech block, doesn't mean it will shoot to point of aim. And for what I'm trying to accomplish, all of it would have been a huge waste of time if it didn't shoot to point of aim.

So you can dick around with all that and still have a gun that shoots a mile off. Been there and done it both ways.

And the barrel doesn't bend in one spot, other than a gradual arc starting from the breech block.

The barrel bent originally from leverage on the end, right? So why would you go using a press to apply pressure in the middle?

If you've ever actually done one, you'd see. They aren't firearms.
