Something came and killed my roosters when I left the coop open then I set the dead rooster as bait so I could lay wait and flat blast him but felk asleep and got caught lacking again

Get one of these so you can take a nap and still get a chance to get the predator.

Fell asleep while on duty!! I had a skunk problem awhile back and fell asleep while watching the bait station too.
Same thing happened, bait gone and missed opportunity.
I came up with an excellent hillbilly solution that works well.
First drink enough beer to make the alarm system, pop cans work too just not as well
.You can set the alarm and go to bed, when the culprit grabs the bait and walks away the cans fall and you wake up.
It seems silly but it works well, with the window mostly closed the animal doesn’t hear the cans fall in the house.
I shoot the bait station area from my bathroom window.
Good luck with the mystery, can’t wait to see what you get. I’m betting on big raccoon!
Edit: I find having dry cat food on the ground and under the stump helps a lot.
When the food on the ground is gone they still smell the stuff under the stump or whatever you have on top and continue to check the bait station. Keeps them coming back I’ve found.

Yep. Had chickens for a while but found out EVERY THING loves chicken. Racoons, skunks, bob cats, hawkes, the neighbor's dog. Turned my coop into a storage shed for my airgun targets. Stay on em' 2much!

I feel your pain. It sucks to loose your animals like that.
But I second what BlackICE posted. I have been using those driveway sensors for years. I’m mostly pesting rats and mice. And when properly set up they work great.
I got mine from Harbor Freight. If you have one of those in your area you could go pick one up today.

love the empty can alarm system , i see you have a trap , just leave it out should catch something ?

Put a dead chicken in your trap. Or better yet a live one in a cage on top of your trap. Wire them together and secure so whatever can't roll trap over. Been my experience long as you have chickens you will have rats and predators. Not worth loosing sleep over because the war will never end. Good luck!
