Preferred optic type for stocked pistol

I've noticed there's a lot of pistols with detachable stocks these days. Not something commonly encountered in the PB world. And most of the optics we use are primarily designed for powder burners. So here's my question: if anyone uses their gun both with and without the stock, what type of optic do you prefer? Reflex sight? Red Dot? Open sights? Or something else entirely? Maybe one scope for each configuration?

To me, it is like this: I use a pistol scope when it is a pistol, but the pistols I have made into "rifles " use a rifle scope. The hold is entirely different, so there are two different scopes for different styles. I think when you make a pistol into a rifle, it is now a rifle.
PB do not have as many options,it is either or nither.:ROFLMAO:

You always have a choice in PB's, just SBR it and anything goes, it can have a 2.5" barrel and pistol stock one hour, 28" precision barrel and stock the next hour, both completely legal.

RD or pistol scope with QD mounts, and you can use the pistol with or without the shoulder stock. Or, of course, you can mount a rifle scope, but then (depending on the rails) moving the mounts further back, which transforms the pistol more into a carbine. Some examples:
