Same! Poking around with a Hatsan AT44 slinging .177 12gn Howlers in the meantime. I was itching for a new platform to play around with.
Traded my .25 cal Avenger for it at AoA - great but underpowered as a bullpup w/o a plenum extension imo. Partially sold it so I wouldn’t eat though the rest of my sorted and weighed king/heavies before the Max arrived lol

Wes emailed an update that Snowpeak is back from holiday and gears are turning. No updates on timeframe - still shipping late Feb.

Houston, I think we have a problem.
For those of us that pre-ordered we may be hosed.
20% tariff China to US ($100+)
???% tariff US to Canada
25% tariff Canada to US ($125+)
$300 or more extra on top of the residual payment. Which makes the purchase of the rifle non-viable. Take an $800 gun and make it, temporarily, $1100 or more.
I can't pay that much for a Max 1.

why cant snowpeak sell direct to the us??
i know umarex and stoeger are here but it limits whats available from the snow peak inventory

No clue, my understanding is they come in through California before heading to Canada.

Because history will repeat itself. Opportunist corporations will raise domestic prices to remain in sync with import pricing. After all "free markets"...

Hi! The Max 1 is coming by ship to Canada from China. Those in the USA that ordered, I will send down the rifles in one big shipment to Texas and I'll pay the tariff on the goods. When it was only ten percent I planned to keep the price the same and just take that out of my profits. I believe I have the price at $790 on my website. I may raise it to $800 plus shipping of around $25 but that should be about all. I realize it's not fair to the customer or to myself but I'll do my best to absorb as much as I can. I'll raise the price on the ones not spoken for to try and recoup some of the cost.
