Snowpeak Preordered my MAX1

I have contacted Snowpeak directly via email to inquire for some information:

1)Is the hammer spring adjustable?
2)What is the regulator adjustable range? (2000 to 3000psi?)
3)What is the barrel twist rate for the .25 and .22?

And here's the response I received today

I think some of my questions got lost in translation in regards to the twist rate of the barrel. It looks like the reg can be set from 100 bar to 300 bar, that doesn't sound right at all, it's probably the fill range? The "regulator air capacity" I would bet that's the Plenum, 150cc of plenum capacity, which makes sense for the high power rating.

35.5gr slug with 81ft-lb energy, that would mean velocity at around 1015fps. But man, 980fps requires 250 bar at the reg and could only get 10 shots per refill? that doesn't sound right, especially from 550cc, 10 shots max per refill at 81ft-lb doesn't sound efficient.

non adjustable hammer? I wonder if this thing has the assisted/balance valve? if it has the traditional valve and hammer spring, that would explain how inefficient it is, be smashing the living crap out of the valve no matter where you set the reg at, lots of wasted air.

480mm=~19inches
1:19 maybe?

Good catch, it could be 1:19, if that's the case then i think the Max 1 probably could also shoot heavy pellet reasonably well. The non-adjustable hammer is kinda weird, the M60/M60b have adjustable hammer.
Depends on how hard it is to get in and out, I have a whole box of various springs from Aliexpress. So theoretically I could adjust the hammer.

Trifecta!
A $790 slug shooter!
SPA/Snowpeak/Umarex really seem to be firing on all cylinders lately.
If the Max1 turns out to be as good as the Notos/Zelos/M60B products, they are going to make it difficult for other manufactures to sell $2500 slug shooters going forward.
Time will tell!
I plan on watching this one carefully!
Congratulations!
I'm in Connecticut USA. Where can I get Max 1 ?

"A small amount of guns may come in December, and those that pre-order first will get those but the rest of the order has an estimated in stock date of February 2025"

December, I think originally it was late November.

But if that gun gets close to its specs it will be a monster. Firing a .25 slug at 1100fps, damn raccoons are going to explode when hit.
Now early January

This is what me need a company that will build a SLUG GUN,, But a gun that is built from ground up a slug gun, Not a pellet gun that shoots slugs to!!!
My range is only 50 yards so I have no use for a slug gun, You can't beat my pellets at 50 yards and that's a guarantee or double your money back...
I see a big divide coming up Slug guns on this side and pellets guns on this side ,,, I hope so and I welcome it , I shoot pellet guns...

I had great fun shooting MRD pellets this past weekend, my Two like them it seem. But lately it have been +10 grain pellets i have been shooting.
The heavy hitting 16 grain slugs i have not shot since early summer, ATM if i shoot slugs 10 and 13 grain are just fine, also out to 125 yards.

Using the MRD pellets, the +13 grain pellets had no problems rining steel ( fairly small steel ) at 80 M distance.

Next outing i am taking the single tin of 16 gr slugs out of my ammo box, and replace it with the 16 grain Beasts i want to try.

I am not terrible impressed by my friends snowpeak rifles, the trigger on the M30 are horrible, spare parts scarce.
BUT ! the M30 do seem to be able to shoot 10 and 13 grain Zan slugs, even if we have not really tuned for it as he mainly have pellets.

Man I hope so! I have raccoons coming in to my farm to eat the ducks’ food, and the ducks too if they’re not watchful. I know exactly how you feel about those ungodly bastards. The Max-1 looks great, but I just got an Uragan 2, so I couldn’t convince my wife that I really need another air rifle.

Tell the wife it's an investment to protect the existing investment (livestock and all)! ;)
