Primary Arms SLx 5x36mm Gen III Prism Scope: minimum focus distance??

I purchased this prism scope to replace my red dot due to eye issues (I started seeing two/three dots):) but found out that anything closer to about 20 yards is not focused. And when I tried to adjust to see better, the reticle was out of focus. Does anybody know what is the problem? I thought this optics works just like red-dot( clear focus throughout)
Thanks

They are not parallax free like red dots, unfortunately. All PA prismatic scopes are parallax free at 100 meters.

I don't own the 5x but do have 1x & 2x prisms from them. It is possible the lens carrier could be freed up & the parallax adjusted. I haven't tried this with mine, however.
That's a bummer, even 1X has the same attributes? I thought I could increase the range a bit better but 100 yards does not make any sense, especially shooting a HW44 pistol handheld.

I had one when they came out. Unfortunately, the reticle was defective so I sent it back for a refund. But I did look thru it. Parallax set at 100 yds. Most of my pesting is at 50 yds. The image clarity was decent at 50 yds, and even at 35 yds.
What impressed me was how light it was, less than 9 ounces!! If some one is looking for a lightweight pesting optic, this one deserves a look.

Ix isn't bad. I do notice it a bit more on the 2x.

My Dedal Stalker is closer to what you have & has adjustable focus. It has a smaller objective & I don't believe I could use it if fixed to 100 meters.
