Prism scopes

I appreciate your question. 👍🏼

A little while ago we discussed this on GTA.
And through the discussion and the opening up of new prism scope options I was THIS(!) close to buying one — the prism scopes seem to fulfill my most difficult requirements of
▪ a wide field of view — while having a relatively high magnification (these two usually are diametrically opposed in regular scopes).
▪ a very bright scope image (for scopecaming)

Then I read a wholly positive article on a popular oneline airgun magazine.
However, it mentioned none of the negative issues that surfaced in the latter pages of the GTA thread. So, it might have been more of an infomercial than an unbiased informative article.....

Anyhow, I will be following this thread closely, fire away! I need to learn! 👍🏼

I like prismatic scopes, but so far there aren’t any available that suit me unless they’re stupid expensive.

I’d like to see some more options around the 8-10x mag range, and not need zero eye relief.

I love compact scopes, but I don’t like having to hunt for the eye box, and I feel I’d need to do this every time with the current prismatic scopes available to us in this mag range.

I have a Sig Bravo 5x. This is a very nice optic *for my AR* but the lack of parallax adjustment would make it unsuitable for my airguns (parallax is fixed at 100yds). While doing my research on prism optics I do not remember seeing any with parallax adjustment. Could be that I missed that point since I was in a firearm mindset or just might not be practical in a prism optic.

The immersive optics 5x30 has just under 2 inches of eye relief with parallax adj. I had tried the 10 and 14x but as a glasses wearer, can't do the zero/super short eye relief. I saw they do have a 5x30pro model that has almost double the eye relief of the 5x30.

The 5x30 is perfect for my notos--under 50y pester.
