Tuning Pro sport FPS

Pellet quality can cause that kind of ES. Not only from weight variations but pellet bore fit as well. I have found Air Arms pellets to be more consistent in weight than JSB's. I weight my pellets for purpose of getting the most accurate picture of how consistent my rifle is. My suggestion is to try different pellets. The acceptable spread in my mind is probably about 20 fps at the most.

With a new gun that has not had any kind of tune/ lube an extreme spread of 20 is about right, with a simple clean, polish, deburr and proper lubrication with the right pellet should be down to 10 or less. I also agree with the AA pellets, while I dont weigh them I do sort thru them and remove any that are deformed. My TX prefers the 4.52 head size, something else he will need to experiment with. With 1k shots thru his rifle he is well past time for a simple tune. I have no doubt he will see improved performance.
