That's a nice looking TX you got there.
Sorry to hear you missed out on the Pro-Sport. I hope you find another one at a good price.

I take the gun from my right shoulder and lower the butt to my right thigh and cock right handed. My front hand stays on the same position in the forend. I shoot offhand and kneeling mostly and find keeping the same fore grip helps me keep position better.I have a stock full-power Pro-Sport, and it's very easy to cock -- when done correctly. Assuming you're right handed, the natural thing is to put the butt on or around your right hip when cocking it with the left hand. That's bad ergonomics. It causes your left arm to cross in front of your torso, limiting the involvement of your strongest muscles and forcing your left shoulder to over exert. Instead, move the butt to your left hip and, when you cock it, keep your left elbow from flaring out. That way your bicep and lats do most of the work, kind of like a rowing motion. I can shoot my PS all day that way.

For my small frame this works for me.YMMV
Not sure... Custom Stocks UK might have 1.Has there ever been a left hand or ambidextrous Pro Sport built?
I’d like to try one but just won’t buy a right handed rifle.
It took me a while to figure a comfortable way to do it, kind of what you had to figure out as well. But once I got the system down i'm completely used to the cycle.Great idea, and the net result is exactly the same.

Nice! At least I know they do build them! I'll continue to pursue finding one.I had to special order my left handed Pro Sport from PA. Took about four months. Could only order the FAC model.

I was doing that when I first got my Pro Sport until the day it was hot and I was a bit sweaty, including my right hand, It slipped off the cocking lever and broke my thumb when it slammed back closed. Since then I put the butt on my hip or thigh, hold the stock with my right hand around the pistol grip and cock with my left hand.I take the gun from my right shoulder and lower the butt to my right thigh and cock right handed. My front hand stays on the same position in the forend. There's a used 177 cal prosport for sale in the classifieds, looks to need a little work though.Have a TX200 standard length and thinking Pro Sport. Thoughts an input much appreciated.
I got an alternative, not a Pro but a Sport. Sometimes there's a reason why it wasn't meant to be. I am really liking the FWB Sport. Pics later...That's a nice looking TX you got there.
