Problems with Ataman BP-17

Thanks -

Have you removed the spring to verify that it is, or isn't broken ?
Easy to do, just pull up the guns schematic like I did here in about 3 seconds. Now you can see what you need to do. Remove the gun from the stock. At the rear of the receiver is iems 21, 23 and 32. Once these are removed, the spring will come out...hopefully still in one piece.

The somewhat obvious thing to do would be to contact...Ataman . See if they (the manufacturer !) can help you with a new spring if that's what you need.
If you cannot find a duplicate, you will have to go to McMaster Carr or Grainger, or other speciality spring company. Measure the length, the spring o.d., the wire diameter, and the coil count and find something the same or similar to instal into your gun.

Good luck

Mike
