Problems with brand new gx cs2

Hello, first time posting but long time lurker. I have a question about a gx cs2 pump I just received (I have reached out to support on social media and email but I get no reply).

I tried the dead head test, the pump reached 1500 psi in 35 seconds. I tried again and it wouldn’t get above 1000 psi. I then made a mixture of water and dish soap, and went to try and find any leaks. Now when I turn the pump on and tighten the pressure release valve all the fans stop running and the pump will slow to a stop. Once the pressure valve is opened, the fans all come on and compressor will kick back on. I can’t even get to 1000 psi anymore . Any help would be appreciated.

Have you got it plugged into an outlet with enough amperage? It COULD be as simple as that. Seems like any kind of load is shutting it down.

A 20 amp outlet and if you are using a extension cord it needs to be a 10 or 12 gage wire the shorter the better.

Thank you for the ideas, once I am home from work I will check on the outlet amperage. I was plugged right into the outlet, no extension cords. The first two dead head tests I ran, everything worked fine (fans and compressor), just wouldn’t build pressure. The third time is when the fans and compressor stopped. Thanks so much for the help!

That would be my preference, but I have tried to get a hold of them (on social media and email) and they do not respond. I will check my outlets when I get home and if that is not it, maybe I will get a hold of Visa and see what my options are. Thanks again for the help!

Sounds like a worsening blockage in the system, likely a gob of grease, you can remove fill whip (hose) and check for obstruction but tearing into compressor will likely void warranty. WM
