problems with FX dreamlite?

My trigger stays up against the hard stop when the gun is cocked and safety is on and I pull the trigger.

it will also stay pulled if I stop at end of first stage ( not easy to do) when safety isn’t on.

i haven’t looked into what it could be.

Just needs careful adjusting, these videos could help.

The trigger mechanism on my crown needed a little bit of light polishing at the interacting sear surfaces when it started to stick.

Adjusting worked for a while but it came back. After a while it got to the point where the trigger mechanism would stick on cocking, preventing them engaging properly and causing an unpredictable discharge during the first stage every few shots.

Quick polish with a dremel and jewelers rouge and it's been perfect ever since.

Mine is the Compact model. My power wheel fell off while hunting. Got another wheel & have it fixed so It cant fall off. The factory regulator never worked right from factory,( leaked) so got a Huma, nice. I worked on the probe & brass transfer port, to give it more power. But was good as it came from factory. I like mine, I actually like it better than my Compact Impact.

I think that the Dreamline line of rifles, in their various configurations, have been an excellent platform. So much easier to adjust as compared to earlier FX rifles due to the external access to adjustments. This point really hit home recently while tuning up an older FX rifle.

The only issue I have ever had with any of my Dreamlines was the little grub screw loosening/backing out and 'releasing' the pellet probe from the cocking handle. Kind of ruins your shooting session when it first happens, but then becomes fairly easy to figure out if it happens again. It has only happened 2 times for me, but now it is something I know I need to watch for.

I have put several thousand pellets through my DL Lite with no issues. I really like the rifle. That said, if I had it to do over I would purchase the DL in some other configuration. It's tough to get a consistent cheek weld on the "stock." Also, because I enjoy shooting some from a bench, I had to add (maybe I should say that I decided to add) a bag rider. Wish you the best.
