prod transformation

been wanting to update the old prod for awhile and give it a fresh appeal .. so buckrail stock, westhunter 3-12 and donny tatsu ... already dont like the reticle on the 3-12ffp for pesting its too fine, so gonna switch it out for a utg 3-12 sfp with a mildot ...

Looks nice! How do you like the buckrail stock? Was looking at his site today and his prices seem great, but I’ve never bought 3d printed parts before.

I’m working on another Prod project as well. This one I’m setting up to introduce my oldest daughter to shooting here in the near further. Probably after her birthday in a few months. The Buckrail AR style stock is ok. There’s a little bit of wiggle. I prefer wood stock so AR stocks aren’t my favorite style but I think the AR stock is the most practical for a growing kid. I have other Buckrail parts for my Akela’s I think they are good quality for 3D printed parts. Can’t beat the price either.

The wood touches make that look very cool!
Thanks. I bought the forearm and grips from an eBay vendor. IIRC they are from Germany. I was considering getting an Umerex Notos actually but when I saw those wood parts I told myself I have to build a Prod with those. The wood accents kind of gives the Prod an old Soviet combat rifle look like an AK or SKS. I like the forearm but the grips are only ok. Vernon Austin and Steve Corcoran grips are much better in my opinion but these grips will work.
