Prolific posts

As a new member I have reviewed a great deal of content. Some very good. Some okay. Some suspect. As a test, I "ignored" the top 10 to 15 people who post on this board. What I found was people who knew a great deal, but are overwhelmed by the prolific posters. I am pleased by my experiment, and will continue. Others may find value in this, as well.

I am not one of those who post a lot. I have 7 airguns, and know enough about them to "get along", but I don't know airguns the same way I know firearms. I enjoy this forum a lot. Lets just say I do more learning than sharing.

Wait, I'm confused. You figured out who posted the most and intentionally ignored what they have to say and at the same time, read from only the people who know a great deal. I never would have suspected that they would be mutually exclusive people.

I'm kinda new here but tend to post a fair bit. I don't claim to know much about airguns but have over a dozen of them Including pcp, co2, springer, and multi pump between .177 and .501 bore. Many of these have been restored or rebuilt by me. I've also had many many other airguns in the past.

Welcome to the forum. I've learned a lot in the short time since I joined. Great group of folks.

The website provides you with these tools. You can turn them on, or turn them off, at will. My experiment suits me. You may do as you desire. At the end of the day, you may find it beneficial to quiet some voices...

Interesting concept. I suppose if one is looking for tech data and other relevant information, that's one way to do it. It would be my (and likely others) hope that you would come to find a camaraderie among like minded folks here and enjoy the (admittedly often useless) banter.

Highly unlikely. You will see these replies. You won't respond in hopes that it appeared that you didn't see them. It's a double edged sword and I see you have already seen the replies and responded 3 times. Kinda prolific of you.

I found there were a handful of people who seem to have overly opinionated feedback for every topic as well. Mainly uninformed, negative, and an inflated sense of their own opinions.

The ignore button works well! Sometimes I will click "view post" anyway, but overall it's reduced engagement with a few personalities that have come across to me as antagonistic and kind of ignorant.

Why the negative tone from you? The common ground here is Airguns, use your ignore button and be happy. Your observations as to who post, or how many times? Big deal, the purpose of this site is to share thoughts and ideas about Airguns. This “thread” by you is an example of what you’re claiming to ignore. Ignore who you will and be happy, no need to post that you’re ignoring a bunch of contributors.
