Prolific posts

Seems to me that over time and reading everyone's posts on subjects that you are interested in ONLY THEN can you figure out who has a basis of experience to know what they are talking about. The other side of the coin is that during all that reading you yourself will add to your base of knowledge to be able to sort the wheat from the chaff.
This is my personal experience.

You're probably ignoring some good content then. Some of us comment on just about anything and to have a good laugh, but we still have plenty of good stuff to offer.

I post a lot too but if someone "ignores" me I could care less. Like people on Twitter get butt hurt if they get blocked by someone. "Oooh they can't handle the engagement!!"

Nah, I found that 2 or 3 people were consistently dogging me (and others) for pretty much any reason and taking up as much air time as possible with zero productive contribution. I'm not blocking prolific posters who are friendly and have something to offer.

It's not about avoiding good content, it's about making the website a more pleasant experience for people who want it to be pleasant and reasonable. If certain posters who don't know how to chill on a forum get blocked by enough people, they'll get less feedback over time and perhaps be less encouraged to keep enflaming topics in hopes of an inflamed response.

I may be guilty of overposting. Maybe I'm unknowingly guilty of pissing some people off. If so, block me. Enjoy the feature and enjoy the website just like I do.

Edit... now I'm kind of curious if OP has blocked me already as well

Why the negative tone from you? The common ground here is Airguns, use your ignore button and be happy. Your observations as to who post, or how many times? Big deal, the purpose of this site is to share thoughts and ideas about Airguns. This “thread” by you is an example of what you’re claiming to ignore. Ignore who you will and be happy, no need to post that you’re ignoring a bunch of contributors.
Luis, he can't see your posts . . . or can he? :ROFLMAO:

What an interesting concept - join a forum, automatically ignore the top 10 - 15 contributors because presumably you only want to find the real nuggets of airgunning wisdom are only available from people who don't post a lot . . . and then make a post about it just to clutter up the forum with what you, yourself, deem to be ignore worthy content.

L.Leon is one of the most "prolific" members on this forum and you'd be missing out on a lot of great info from him (and the 9 to 14 other top posters on forum) if you have him on ignore. And yet, you still see his posts and reply to them. Anyone else confused by what's going on here???

Where is this ignore button & thanks?
