Proper Hide Member Etiquette

Not much different from someone walking out on, let's say a press conference, when they don't like the questions. "Conceited coward " seems an apt moniker for that type of person. (Speaking hypothetically, of course)

YEAH! I had an uncle who was kind of like that, he would hide in his basement and only come out and talk to people when his meds were working just right. He was senile and thought everything was going swimmingly. As time went on he got worse and worse. I felt sad for him TBH because every time he came out of that basement he just looked like an idiot. I don't think he was a coward or conceited, he was just "non compos mentis". Oh, wait, we were talking about the hide function, not press conferences or hiding in basements, eh? Wouldn't want anyone to think we were (hypothetically) talking about banned topics in this thread, right?

Hahaha you got me laughing there. Yes, same rules apply here as elsewhere, but I’m going to pm you right now that was a good one

Naw, that was my uncle Bill. Are you thinking of someone else (hypothetically)?

Hmm... Internet etiquette, seems an oxymoron to me. Don't see much of it.

I see a big opportunity for a book. A sort of new version of the old, maybe an Emil Post’s (online)Book of Internet Etiquette?

I have never blocked anyone, anywhere, anytime. I just don’t care enough to be afraid of some words a random person wrote. It’s all relative anyway, what might be a major slight to one person, could be hardly on the radar of another.
