Proper way to degass cf tank

I need to degass my “guppy” from topgun in order to install the second pressure gauge on the backside of valve assembly. I’m unsure on the safest and best way to accomplish this task. I have an idea but I don’t want to do anything silly. Not today anyways. Thank you all in advance.

unhook the fill system and crack the valve open,
wait....and wait......and wait.....and wait haha.

thats how ive always let the air out of a tank.
