Prophet 2 is in the house!

I decided to take a big step up from my previous PCP's. I looked at a half a dozen or more platforms including the Reximex Throne II, Krait, FX Impact and Maverick, and the BRK Ghost. I wanted to shoot both pellets and slugs, (Eventually I will make a set of swaging dies.) I wanted a bullpup due to lower back problems. After weeks of researching I finally decided on the RTI Prophet 2. I found a gently used one, and e-mailed several times with RTIarms.eu with my concerns. They said they would honor the remaining warranty, and if I need anything to simply reach out. They are there to support their customers.

Here are a few pics, with my Armasight Zeus 3-24X75 thermal. I'm going to try doing a little pesting if I can get the parallax adjusted close enough. BTW there are no scratches, just particles from RIPPING the package open. WOOHOO!

Thanks guys, I'm really liking how it handles and the quality of workmanship is amazing. I wish I hadn't damaged the mini-DVR on my Zeus. It happened 7-8 years ago when I was mounting it on my Grendel for hog hunting one night. I pinched the cable in the QD mount and it hasn't operated since. I repaired the cable, but apparently it damaged the DVR or the sending portion of the Zeus IDK. I need to get it checked out.

Congrats CC. I think you are really going to like your new rifle. A lot of rifles have passed through my hands but my Prophets still remain.
Thanks, I almost bought a PP1 and after 2 weeks the seller finally determined it had the LR .22 barrel. Thanks for your help and replies when I first started looking a few weeks ago.

Oh YEAH! She looks absolutely tacticool with the nv scope! Woo boy are the rats gonna take a hammering! LOL!
I just did a short walk around looking through the Zeus in the back yard. I had turned the brightness all the way down and contrast down to 4 from 0. It goes from -8 to +8. Now I need to find the reticle palette and change it too red from black. The white crosshairs and settings last night were way too bright and caused eye fatigue in minutes. Yeah, the rats are going to be in for a hurting if they show themselves! LOL

I didn't get home until after 3PM. Grabbed everything and headed out to the backyard. It was orginally shooting the 24gr JSB's about 4" high and slightly right, so I dialed it down and left. Then started tracking back to the right to center of the target. I got it close and decided to shoot at the edge of the circle at the 3 o'clock position. I fired 4 shots and I think 3 were cloverleafed and 1 flier all right at 960fps. For not being able to really see the target with the thermal I was impressed. I was just trying to center the reticle over the edge of the 6" circle.

I only had some 21gr H&N slugs so I tried zeroing it again with those. By the time I started trying to zero them the sun was no longer shining on the target and it was even harder to try and make it out. I never could see the bullseye I was just trying to sight an edge of the circle as best I could, and mostly guessing. LOL The slugs didn't shoot nearly as well as the JSB's but they are .218's and flying at 1006 down to 998. Good enough for minute of RATTUS tonight when they come out to play. I could see the pellets striking the 3/4" plywood as a white spot on the scope right at the reticle center. When I got back in and read the manual it says the center dot is 4MOA. So a 1" circle at the distance I was shooting. LOL

You placed your bet on a proven platform with a solid base of owners who sing its praises. Seems like a pretty safe bet to me man (y)

I witnessed Tim aka igolfat8, put in some work with his in some tough conditions and it hung right in there with all the big name rigs present. It even shamed a few of the same in the process.

It certainly looks the business.
If they offered those in a right side cocking version, I wouldn't waste any time getting one to try.

Thanks, I'm liking it a lot. Probably going to pull the thermal tomorrow and try stacking some slugs. I found out the center dot in the reticle is 4MOA. The size of the groups I was shooting at 27yds. LOL

Most definitely get something with a finer reticle mounted on there for a test session.

I will be surprised if you don't find a projectile that stacks under a thumbtack at that range. Those rifles are known for it.

CC, My Prophet is hold sensitive and likes a very firm hold so you may want to experiment with hold pressures with yours. Forward load your bipod and pull it tight into your shoulder and you will probably see your group sizes reduce.
Thanks, I need to get some more 24gr JSB's, and assorted pellets in different sizes and weights. I thought the groups were pretty good for a thermal. Then when I came back in and was reading through the manual I found out that the center dot/reticle (smallest) is 4MOA. LOL I'd shoot and as soons as I moved the reticle I could see the "white" hot spot where the slug impacted.
