Prophet 2 is in the house!

You placed your bet on a proven platform with a solid base of owners who sing its praises. Seems like a pretty safe bet to me man (y)

I witnessed Tim aka igolfat8, put in some work with his in some tough conditions and it hung right in there with all the big name rigs present. It even shamed a few of the same in the process.

It certainly looks the business.
If they offered those in a right side cocking version, I wouldn't waste any time getting one to try.
The left hand side lever was a concern to me also and was the one thing the kept me from taking the RTI plunge earlier.
Other than that, everything about the gun seemed to fit my needs so I went for it and I have to say, that once I started shooting it, I wish all of my guns had left hand cocking.
Once you get used to it, It becomes clear as to why RTI did it this way.

If you have the same barrel as mine it leads up pretty quickly and requires frequent cleaning, like every 25-30 shots. Pull a patch and you will see lots of silver sparkles. If you liberally lube your pellets with a low viscosity oil it will extend the cleaning intervals.
Thanks Tim. If accuracy is off tomorrow, I'll try pulling a patch. I think you have the PP1 LR barrel by LW 1/31. This is supposed to be a 1/17 CZ barrel IIRC. It's supposed to shoot pellets or slugs. I want to make a set of swaging dies for it eventually.

I agree I was slightly concerned about it. Then I saw a YT video of someone shooting rapid fire. I personally like the idea. I can shoot almost as fast as my AEA HP Carbine off of a rest.

really 25-30 shots then accuracy falls off

I put the Nikko Sterling on the P2 today and sighted in at 27yds. I was shooting H&N 21gr .218 Slugs at 1000fps.

I decided to shoot 4 shot groups due to the 12 shot magazine. The first four are zeroing the scope.

Then I shot 4 through one small hole, aiming at the end of the dark line at the 3:00 position on the target.

I heard some kids behind me in the new subdivision, so I put on a DonnyFl Sumo .25-.30 moderator and shot 4 rounds at the 6:00 position and the group opened up a little.

I decided to try a little harder and shot 4 more at the line at the 9:00 position, and the group opened up a little more.

I realized the groups were opening up since I added the moderator, so I took it off and shot 4 slugs at the 12:00 position. The results were a little better.

Finally, I finished up by shooting the last 4 slugs at the bullseye. There was already one hole there on the left side of the group from when I zeroed the scope. Not bad for straight out of the box, and shooting the only slugs I had on hand. Definitely minute of RATTUS, starling, pigeon, etc. LOL

Edit: Sorry, posted the 6:00 pic twice somehow?

Great shooting CC, especially with a new rifle straight out of the box. I might have missed it but does yours have the faster twist barrel or the slower twist original barrel designed for MRD's? Did you try shooting any MRDs yet?
Thanks, I'm not a target shooter (YET, LOL). Except when trying to zero a scope! LOL I'll probably start shooting more targets as my grandson is starting to express an interest in shooting. So we will be shooting paper I'm sure. I'm thinking about going to a "Central Fl Airgunners" meet next Saturday. It's a 1.5 hour drive one way, I've been a lurker on their FB page for almost a year. I might get into tuning more once I get some other projectiles in .22. I'm actually thinking about building a shooting bench, instead of using the flimsy folding table, I have been using for zeroing scopes. Also need to build a better backstop, and pellet catcher. Bought some beads the other day to make some shooting bags. So I guess I've got the ACCURACY bug now.

This is the faster twist barrel 1/17 IIRC. I want to shoot slugs. Eventually I want to make a set of swaging dies for swaging slugs. That's why I was looking for a faster twist barrel and didn't buy a PP1. It had the LR barrel. Thanks again for doing the testing with yours, and the slugs you had on hand.(y)
