I was told my list is from the past and you had to go back to 160 years to find one thing. All of that in the list I posted? Please explain how anything other than civil rights legislation came about because of the Emancipation Proclamation.
Go back and read what I said. I never said anything other than civil rights legislation resulted from the Emancipation Proclamation.

EDIT: I actually support most of that stuff on your list. I was just saying your party has become a very different party since those measures were passed.

Your actually saying we should attend a drag show? I'm not going to even comment on that one except to say that if that's your thing then go for it.
Do you also believe that male and female children should be forced to use the same bathrooms?

There are a lot of bars that host drag shows one night a week/month. Everyone should see one at least once, since the more experiences/cultures we inform ourselves about, the more well rounded and empathetic we become as human beings.

What’s saddest is that you can’t understand that most of the items on your list AREN'T good for people. They’re government DEPENDENCY programs with little 1984ish names designed to make the less informed “feel” better about being less free.

What in particular is bad for people, Voting rights? Overtime pay? 40 hour work week? Medicare? Social Security? FDIC Insurance? GI Bill? Unemployment Insurance? Healthcare reform? Patient rights? Consumer rights? Fair housing? All aren't good for people? Try being specific and tell everyone about how they are all so bad and make you less free?

Because people don’t need the government to protect them from every problem they may encounter in life. For the most part, people need government to leave them alone! And did you really cite “healthcare reform”? Is that a joke? How has healthcare costs/premiums rising by 500% the last 20 years helped anyone?! Obummer care has been a disaster for Americans.

That's what I was meaning with the road to hell is paved with good intentions. They sound great on paper, but it was a means to control people and keep them voting a certain direction.

Does anyone remember the hot mic LBJ moment: " I'll have those n****rs voting Democrat for 200 years"

He also referred to the 1957 civil rights bill as "the n****r bill"

Not surprised, he was a Democrat. They had to trade in the shackles and chains for the mic and podium. Just another form of slavery.

The welfare state is a good intention, till people found a way to cheat it. Don't work, have kids out of wedlock, and they'll give you a house, food, money, free Healthcare.... oh wait, it's not free... the working stiffs who get to work that OT on those "40 hour work weeks" and get taxed double for it too, they get to pay for all the free stuff for everyone else.

As for socialism, good luck with that. You mean if I work 40 hours a week for xxxx amount, that the lazy kid over on his phone who works 20 hours a week gets the same pay? Yeah, that'll work out just fine. Just like it has all over the world where they called it communism.

You said "most of that" and only mentioned health care. But since you did. Did healthcare premiums ever go up before the ACA? The answer is yes they did regularly. Could anyone who was sick (AKA a pre-existing condition) get health coverage? The answer is no.

Wait a minute, you said these were “democrat” ideas. Apparently that’s another lie from whatever lefty source you copied/pasted from. Let me know if you want me to continue showing you what’s actually true.

Well don't forget the left claims we all switched out history during the CRM on 1964.

I always loved that one, pass the buck. Their history is so tainted, then they say hey Repubs, can we just swap our history? Sure guys, we'll take the heat!

That's like saying I go and murder someone and go tell my friend I did it but can you take the fall and he's totally cool with it.

How did that even come to pass? Well, when you have the public school systems and most metro areas controlled by that side, they can push their agenda long enough people start to believe it. It's called revisionism.

We have kids in the local STL area that believe Abraham Lincoln was a democrat!!! Why? Because it makes them look better on the whole slavery issue. How can it be, the 1st republican president freed the blacks? Let's go ahead and erase that because it makes the left look bad... no one will notice, they're too tired and lazy from working 2 jobs to provide and eating all the chemicals we pump into their food monitored by the F D A.

Haha, yep……the old “the parties switched platforms” crap peddled to clueless college students by their loser marxist profs.

You left something out of your copy and paste.
"President Franklin D. Roosevelt was determined to do better for veterans returning from World War II. He also wanted to expand the middle class and help prevent economic turmoil. He started preparing for the veterans’ return well in advance of the end of the war. Congress tossed around various ideas, but they limited benefits to veterans who met specific criteria such as income." Thus it began as a Democratic initiative.

Colmery's proposal became the first draft of the bill.

If anyone is wondering why we're being so vocal is because we never get our voices heard anymore. Everyone says "speak up, vote, do something " but we can't because we get shut down, banned, canceled if we even notion we have a different view point than the MSM narrative. And they call US fascists when we won't let them shove their policy down our throats.

Just like the J6 narrative is now starting to crumble... maybe by the end of that they can call it a peaceful protest. I sure didn't see any fires that day.

The democrats from the Civil rights Era would be considered right leaving moderates today compared to the progressives they are now.
This is the major problem. Democrats of yesteryear were well meaning and a lot further right than those of today.
When they started adding "progressive" to their name is where things started going seriously wrong.
The Democrats of yesteryear have had their party taken over by socialists and they are unaware.
They are so used to voting "D" they just keep on doing it without realizing the serious harm they are inflicting.
On another note, independent may be better than the uni-party.
Do us all a favor and thoroughly research your candidates before casting your vote.

Correct. My parents and I were democrats and the older I got and became a father I noticed more and more of that party changing and I didn't align with it. My parents flipped too.

We all disliked Don, and refused to vote his first term. Gave him a chance, and even though he couldn't stayed of social media and been a bit less critically speaking, he mad this country fiscally better. I'm to the age I vote with my wallet, not with my heart.

Were we not better then than we are now?

The media really has divided Americans with all their bullpoop spin they do.
