Proving out a rifle for nighttime pest control - DAR .25 cal

here's a picture right off the air tube.. and I fill to just below the red so I am still in the green.. and yellow is 2000 psi and that's where it seems to fall off the regulator..
I've got a feeling that it has to be like a atmosphere vent leak in the regulator because it seems anywhere else it would go to 0 .. hope someone has a idea of what I need to look for, not sure where the regulator is but it seems like it has a adjustment in between the shroud and receiver between the shroud and air tube..
never adjusted it or tuned it just shot out of the box and only thing that's been apart is the magazine.. not great quality magazines but the gun has been good..

I think I remember something about them being rated that high before they were available, but the psi rating on the general release was 3600psi and if I remember correctly, there was some grousing about it from folks who wanted the higher psi. I really don't know. All I know is the ATI Nova Freedoms I have were rated to 3600psi. The only difference between the Freedom and the Liberty platform is the Freedom had the built-in pump and cheap plastic stock.

Otherwise, the guts were essentially the same.

If it is an atmospheric leak from the regulator I guess it could stop at 2000psi, but I don't know why it would.

So, before I show my ignorance further, I'll let others who know more than I do chime in.

Good luck!

All my best!

I appreciate any help or input you have..
so if you have any idea what it is, or know someone who might, I'd like to know because I really can't understand why it doesn't just keep leaking until empty..
should I just order a rebuild kit and go at it.. just would be nice to know and fix the leak and let the rest be..
also alas it's extremely hard to find air rifle that has open sights and so I really like this one..

My bad... just re-read the link I posted and it does say that the Liberty was/is rated at 4350.

Face palm... (smile)

Man am I getting older faster day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, second by second... POOF! (sigh)
takes a big man to admit a mistake, I just assumed that mine was a different batch.. again if anyone can help me figure out why it leaks down to the regulator pressure and what part I need to fix, I would much rather just fix the leak than rebuild the whole thing and hopefully solve it
