I started a thread wit the Vixen to be used in PRS and because of chronical lack of space we do it with pellets en max 50 joules!
After a few months i was asked if i wanted to trade my Vixen for a 5 month old Maverick… the Maverick retails for 650 euro’s more than the Vixen!
So was a no brainer, if i don’t like it i can still trade it back for a new Vixen!
Bummer numero uno! The barrel is quite flexible! It doesn’t affect grouping, but if and when you aproach a stage i found that i touched the barrel with my thumb… and that does affect grouping
so i took a look at the sabertactical rail … but i couldn’t get over the 300 euro prisetag!…
Then James, a South African shooter said he want’s to help me….
He has the means to mill and … well has all the tools to do the job, he made me a rail and now the barrel is safe from my sticky thumb!
