Results PSA FT Results - June 9, 2024 (AAFTA and XFT)

This month's green and red courses were setup at our sporting clays range, and the blue course, as usual, was setup on the competition rifle range. The green course was in an open field where we shot from the top of the hill to targets that were down the hill. The red course was in a more protected area. Winds were gusty and unpredictable on the green course, which made the longer shots challenging. Generally, on all courses, targets at 40+ yards were more difficult due to the wind.

The 3 course average difficulty was 28.4 (moderate) and the individual course sections had the following avg difficulties (not including environmental factors):

• Blue - 28.5 (moderate)
• Green - 28.6 (moderate)
• Red - 28.2 (moderate)

If we include a wind difficulty modifier to the 40+ yard targets and the few reduced KZ targets in the 35 - 40yd range, the 3 course combined difficulty was 31.9 (Hard).

Scores - Each course is a possible 20, and the 3 course total is of a possible 60 (ties are not broken). There were a few competitors that shot the blue course twice.

The XFT course was setup on the competition range. There were 10 targets, 6 targets were kill zone type targets and 4 targets were knock down style targets.
