Thanks to everyone that made their way to shoot Field Target at Palmyra Sportsmen's Association this week. It was a nice weather fall day with clear blue skies. This month's Green and Red courses were setup in a ravine with many shots having extreme-up elevation shots. Brain VanLiew shot a 58/60, with only missing shots on a standing lane, an impressive display of marksmanship.

Course difficulties were:
Range Course: 29.9 (Moderate)
Red Course: 27.0 (Moderate)
Green Course: 29.9 (Moderate)

The combined 3 course difficulty was 29.0 (Moderate).

The scores, 3 Course total out of a possible 60.

Our next event is scheduled for November 13, 2022.

The numbers don't really show how difficult the woods courses were. Almost everything was way up hill, dark, and firing positions were not level in most cases. The course was very physically demanding and Troy rode me around in a club Mule otherwise I could not have walked the course. Thank you Troy. I shot with Brian and he went thru the course like it was nothing. There were three forced lanes and he cleaned one kneeling lane and one offhand lane and only missed two on the quite difficult way uphill standing lane! You can see by the scores how he eclipsed the rest of us. The weather was just perfect and I think everyone had a great time. Overall a very nice match and a nice day out on the lanes.
Many thanks to Rob, Mike, and Troy. I look forward to the indoor matches this winter. They have a super nice indoor range.

still trying to figure out how you owned the green course when everyone else (mostly) had serious issues with sun in the scope. :)

And I'm proud of Laura, that was a personal best, first time going over 20!

I checked my rifle case, your momentum didn’t accidentally end up in there.
