We had a good turnout for our first indoor FT match for the 2022-2024 winter season. It is good to see many competitors chose to shoot the course from the standing position. Some that shot from the free position also chose to mix things up and shoot some lanes offhand or kneeling in addition to shooting sitting. It's also neat to see people lean into the event an choose to shoot in a unique way via equipment choice or otherwise. Some notable experiments were shooting open sights with a Diana 75, or shooting the course with a pistol from standing position. Mark King had some impressive offhand scores with the max being a 17 with a piston gun.
The course was set to be legal within the rules for standing position with a rifle. The all standing average Troyer difficulty was 26.4 (moderate) with the hardest target calculated as a 39.7 difficulty.
