Results PSA Indoor FT - Results, December 8, 2024 - Palmyra Sportsmen's Assoc - Palmyra, PA

We kicked off the indoor FT season at Palmyra Sportsmen's Association for the winter, and had a good turnout. Targets were placed between 10 and 22 yards, and if shot all from the standing position, the course difficulty was 23.9. Although an average easy course, the hardest offhand target was a 3/4in KZ at 17 yards.

The scores are as follows (ties are not broken)

Was a fun day!

I’m an hour away and just started in the world of PCP air rifles. I purchased a Umarex Gauntlet .30 cal and shot at a range, so just learning. Based on the parameters on the Palmyra site, it looks like I would need a different gun for all of the events (20-80 foot lbs energy). Is the competition laid back enough for a newb like me or would you advise me to find a beginner event somewhere?

Your 30 cal most likely will be usable as long as it’s under 80fpe for our “Long Range” match’s. To shoot our regular field target match, a gun 20fpe or less, no larger than .22 is required. We would encourage you to come out and shoot. Here’s a link to events that are in the area.

Thank you. Just got back from the range. Starting to look at .22 cals to be able to compete there (for fun only)
Any suggestions that would be a “good” gun, but not a $1,000? I saw some of the guns from the list and there were some that were very expensive.
