Pulled Out My Springer

Decided to pull out the springer I got from a dear friend who was getting rid of things preparing for his passing.
Setting it up adding a cheek riser and pellet pouch made for fun. Tuning kit coming in Monday along with parts needed to make a hamster.
Looking at shooting it the rest of the year in memory of him. People like him only come a few times in a lifetime.

That’s great that you can take out that rifle and remember your buddy. Nice quality rifles have a way of outliving their owners and bringing joy to next generations. I have my grandpa’s .308 that he was carrying with him when he died while hunting elk. Lots of great memories tied up in that piece of steel and wood.

Thank you everyone for responding. He had a heart of gold. He passed shortly after receiving the rifle. Have a Vortek tune kit coming Monday. Just received the parts to make the hamster. Looks like it will be a good day. Hopefully can get it set-up for the match this weekend.

Should be interesting.

So cool🤙
I hope my airguns go(whenever I may go) to someone that cherishes them just as you do that one😍🙏🫶

That’s awesome. Did that some years back with a friend’s new RC car. He didn’t get a chance to race it before he passed. I talked to the RD and I drove his car in a qualifier using his transponder and his name. His wife and daughters and one of his granddaughters got to witness it, then we pulled a printout of the qualifier and gave it to them. Meant a lot to them. I rarely race anymore but when I do his name is still on passenger’s side as co-pilot. Hope things go as well for you and it provides good memories for those that care about him.
