Pulling the trigger today, Umarex Origin PCP any good?

I just looked it up and has decent reviews and people said it's fairly accurate. People on here have one I'm sure and will have good things to say.

My issue is it looks like theres no regulator. In my opinion every pcp should have one for consistent shots and adjustability.

You can probably buy a regulator for it at huma air, but then you can take that money and buy a pcp that already has one.

Unless your really like to tinker and spend more money dont buy upgrades......just upgrade.

IMHO, regulators are over rated. There is no need for them other than for whiz-bang coolness factor. Do you really want another failure point?

Know your gun. Refill when you need. Shoot'em good.

What? To each is there own......

Peep, If you want accuracy and more shots per fill (if tuned down) a regulator is a wise choice. Watch some youtube videos and I'm sure lots of folks here will recommend a higher end gun, it's worth it to save a little longer

Another option is find a different entry level pcp that can be upgraded later if you choose to. The hatsan flash might be comparable option.

Don't have to worry about saving money, this is a relatively inexpensive hobby. Just like to fool around with guns I can walk away from. Have to go with Odoyle on this one.

Accuracy is not affected by a regulator in the least bit. Then again, free advice is often worth the price you pay.

Build a guy a fire and he is warm for a night.

Set the guy on fire, and he is warm for the rest of his life.

For most critters it MAYBE doesn't matter that much but on paper it does.

25gr .25cal at 800fps versus 850fps is low by .30" at 50 yards. That's a lot on paper.

Been shooting airguns for long? There is more to it than blindly parroting what the cool kids say on Y-tube.

Accuracy is a function of internal and external ballistics. Full stop.

Ability is all on the shooter.

Consistency from shot to shot is not the source or the cause of accuracy.

You can have an accurate gun that is not regulated.

You can have a regulated gun that is not accurate.

Having one variable does not guarantee the other.

Regulators have maintenance issues, quite often they experience creep or fail all together. There goes the perceived advantage in a puff of regulated air.

Each to their own.
