Pump action PCP?

When I was a kid I shot thousands of rounds through my Grandfather‘s Winchester model 61 pump action .22. It was simply an elegant rife to handle in the field, light and quick to shoulder. Although I got a Ruger 10/22 as my first .22 I always remember how the pump action of the Winchester was almost as quick to get the next shot off. The Winchester was dead reliable and I never experienced a jam. So I am surprised no one makes a similar air rifle for hunting with pump action? It would suck for bench rest but for reliable hunting it would be ideal? I know ST makes a conversion for the impact but it’s a bit of a monster compared to the sleek model 61. Something with a bottle in the back (Like an L2 or Panthera) but with a pump forestock would be ideal? I think I would buy one if it was done right.

The FX Indy is great if you can find one. I have one in .25 and it's awesome for just that. 6 shots at full power from 40-46 ft lbs of energy. It's my squirrel gun. It's a tad on the heavy side but I love it!!!
FX should make a new limited production run of the Indy, but with their new smooth twist-x barrel technology and decent porting for slug slinging power. It would be an inexpensive test-marketing tool that pays for itself to test demand of new sales. A lot of existing pcp owners will buy one to keep in the corner of the barn or safe for hunting or pesting, and in this day and age of the "prepper" and all it could be a hit at the box stores as well.

@FX-USA ...

There’s the Kral Puncher Rambo. But I have no idea where you would get one.

I wish Prymayd Air would expand their Kral offerings to include this. A pump action would be a lot of fun.
If you contact Krale in the Netherlands they might be able to special order one. I asked them once about a Reximex gun and they said I could order it. It would have cost a bite more though. I didn't follow through with it so I don't have any actual expereince with special ordering anything from them. YOucan always ask. worst they can say is no.

That Kral Puncher Rambo is in the right direction for what I might be interested in. Looks like there is one out there.

There's definitely a "small" market for pump style pcp's in the form similar to those old 22rf's! As long as we're fantasizing I'll take one in semi too :p. Recently a guy I know bought a real 61 in 98% condition for $800. What a find. I got to shoot it too.
I've got my Great gramps Rem M12. Its trashed and shoots like crap but its cool to get out once in a while to play with.
I have my Dad's 1950's Browning take down 22rf that shoots great. Such a neat old semi!

Though it'd be 10 times cooler if we had a pcp using the tube magazines just like these old guns had with the express intent of going with slugs instead of pellets.

And a pump as well as a semi made for low power 8-10 fpe lead BB's while you smart guys are doing the engineering!!! So let it be done - therefore, herewith, and post haste. Get on it you smart guys!

Ha! Beggars can’t be choosy. Tube feeding of the pellets would be very cool but would also greatly increase the complexity not to mention easily damage the pellets/slugs?

The indy was non pump action. It had a built in pump. I've seen a few lever action pcp's. I wanted a Lobo mustang, but asking price for them now is thru the roof, and they're pretty uncommon
That Lobo Mustang is extra cool!

Pellets damaged yes, but slugs no or not enough to be concerned about. Most slugs are pretty tough. Best if the system is designed around shapes and lengths which allow the most reliability.

It'd be nice having slugs one behind the other exactly like those rimfires operate.

Some benefits -
Easier to feed because there's no "rim" to deal with.
No need for extractor.
2-3 times the amount of ammo in those tubes because of the short length.

Some say its very hard to design the air delivery for this type of gun to work but I think the smart guys can work around it.

Picked up a Hatsan AT44PA some time back. Was on sale through Hatsan for around 150. A little heavy, but never gave me a problem. The AT44 line has always been built like a tank. Ugly, but accurate and functional. The pump action was great for grins and I kept it at the workshop for the occasional chipmunk. I ended up offloading it at the Hickory show this past year.

I was not aware of the at44pa? Trim it down a bit and change to a tube loader?
