Putting a time/renew limit on sales threads?

I do realize that the market for used airguns is soft and items are not moving as quickly right now, but there are some sales threads that have 50 plus renewals are are from 2023. Clearly that item is NOT going to sell at the asking price. The OP of the thread certainly hasn't taken a clue after nearly 2 years of re-posting so I say it's time the AGN admins put a renewal limit on sales threads. I would say 5 renewals of a sales thread is plenty before it should be closed and a new post required.

These are just a selection of some of the worst offenders but there are plenty of ads with 10+ renewals where the item is not relevant any longer, priced too high, has unacceptable conditions of sale (ie: I'll only meet in one town in the US and in person).

I’ve noticed these “relic” for sale adds also and just kinda chuckle at them. Guys are probably going to defend these sellers that have a short circuit going to the lightbulb in their heads. And rightfully so. We can’t try to tell someone how much to sell something for. But what I do like about your idea is if someone has to physically retype their whole for sale add at some point, it may inspire them to reflect on their price or just parting with it at all.

Those guys keep renewing b/c it allows them to continue to tell the wife they're trying to thin down the collection but stuffs just not selling. He he
