Very cool. It just somewhat confused me because the posted rules showed a mag change and no more than ten pellets in the initial mag. Perhaps that was changed, and it was just "open" like at EBR?
Correct. Start with a mag that has no more than 10 pellets in it, then change the mag. So I would imagine whatever picture or video you may have seen the mag in was "post-change".

Bill shoots a Thomas rifle with a Nightforce scope.
On a side note, the best part of my entire weekend was having the luck to be on the shooting lane next to Bill on his final lane of the match and watching him shoot the last 4 pellets to clear the entire field target course. I think everyone in the county heard our war cries as the final target dropped. It was awesome.

I was there! Super fun. I'm glad I gave those guys a chance by not competing. Will they have 5 gallon buckets of Firebird Targets again next year? ...then I'll be there for sure. Great shooting guys!

....a Thomas and a Nightforce...so cool!

...you all should go. If you bundle your car rental and hotel and plane ticket together, it can be really cheap. Get that free hotel breakfast and your set. I spent under $100 all weekend. Had a great time.

Yes. It was a 3D printed 30 round mag that he designed a few years ago (late 2019 IIRC)

I was saving that footage for a Gunslynger related thread but I can duplicate it here.

And I can confirm that Bill used a standard 10 shot magazine first (just 1 shot I believe) then swapped it out for the 30 rd mag)

I didn't know is nightforce would go down to 10yds. I know the nx8 does down to eleven but maybe it goes lower. Nightforce are very solid scopes for sure. I've used shv and nxs.

Yes, the NX8 4-32 is what Bill shoots and does go down to 10. The ATACR 7-35 also goes down to 10 (or at least 10.5 yards).

The nx8 could be my next scope then. Several guys I used to shoot prs rimfire with ran them and the glass is great and clicks are very repeatable. I wonder how well the range and snap in. Would like to see a comparison with the sightron FT.
