question about carbon fiber tanks

Because as we all well know no US company would ever lack ethics, cut corners or use *cheaper* materials in manufacturing. Just look at such sterling examples as cigarette companies or currently the oil industry.
Sure but its a question of degree and motivation. In the US and europe the liability risk outweighs the reward. Had another customer that ordered a container of stainless tubing and sent a representative to check and seal the continer. All was good until the continer arrived. When it arrived some of the stainless tubing had been replaced with steel. Similar problem as cement in China and Russia where employees steal the cement replacing with filler until the cement is worthless. The low pay compared to material cost opens up motivational holes.

OOOOO, BOOOGA BOOGA, some event that has nothing to to with the discussion happened therefore the tanks are suspect.

Once more I will point out there is exactly ZERO evidence of any Chinese made CF tank failing for manufacturing defects.
What does custom tubing or local cement have to do with CF tanks manufactured and inspected to quality standards?
There are 3 standards, GB (Chinese), CE (European), DOT (US).
The tanks are exactly the same tanks, the only difference is the label certifying which Test and Inspection standard was used.
That inspection standard requires an extensive audit to be certified as compliant.
There are annual recertification Audits.
There are also ISO9001 procedures and annual audits.

Explain how Apple has millions of phones manufactured in China and are high quality products.
Explain how a significant amount of US consumer goods are manufactured in China.

You are correct. The only issue is Chinese counterfits and Seconds. When you buy from stateside or european company they have their own inspection and Insurance. When you buy from China from random Aliexpress seller you can be getting seconds or counterfits. We had an experience right before covid with Plastic parts from a reputable Chinese subsidiary of an American company that provided plastic parts with fake certifications of material (purchasing failure on their part). The plastic was missing a critical chemical componenet and when parts were assembled in the states the off gassing of the adhesive made the parts crack. Back tracing showed the material was purchased on some secondary market with fake certification. Massive losses and delays. Everyone gets to gauge their own risks. My customer chose the supplier and sustained a loss. Was it worth based on what they saved for the 10 years prior, probably yes. Will they do it moving forward, probably not. Did the American owner of the Chinese supplier compensate my customer to at least some degree, yes.
I think I shot my wad on tanks . Jeez now the compressors only run maybe twice a week.
Three beautiful shiny new Chinese bottles. Tuxing but I think they’re the same as ahh
what is it Acecare or something. Yep 3, 6.8, 9 and if I get the urge probably a 12 liter.
I couldn’t imagine being scared enough to have to buy the same thing but 5 times the price.
Oh I forgot my first gun tank for the zelos, yup again Tuxing 580 cc.
Ohhh yeah one more thing I go a little over on the max fills….
Im just ball busting here except the part of paying 5x… haaa !
