Question About Social Feed Posts

Sorry, I missed this question before. I did not realize there was inconsistency between Social posts. I will kick this up to @Michael. Could you possibly post examples of both types of posts?
@Moderator3 Here's an example https://www.airgunnation.com/members/amosburton.45691/. When I view this member's profile posts, I can only see a "like" button. There's no comment or "reply" button. Why is that?

@Ezana4CE I believe it is how the member has thair PRIVACY set too?

Allow Users too:
Start Conversation With You: There are three choices, "Members Only", "People You Follow" and lastly "Nobody".
@WoodWelder I thought that as well and checked the settings before I posted the question. These are the options I see.

In regards to "start conversations with you," I assume this means "PM." If you post on your profile and I respond, that's not what comes to mind when I think of starting a conversation. I could use some clarification here.

Weird?
If you look at "Start conversations with you:" is there nothing more to the RIGHT of that?

This is what I see! I have mine set to Members Only.

"Start conversations with you" is very vague. When I post to my profile, I type in the "update your status" box. That "status update" then posts to my profile and adds to the "social feed" forum. At this juncture since I elected to say something, doesn't it make sense to think that I am initiating a conversation with whomever wishes to respond (or whomever I allow to view my profile)? A subsequent response would be a continuance of said conversation, would it not?

Conversely, if a member PMs me, then they are the initiator of a new conversation. At least that is the way that it makes sense to me.

Yeah, I see what you're saying?

I'm thinking now the "Start Conversation with you" is only for PRIVATE MESSAGE uses and not on the Personal Profile Page or Social Feed Posts?

I never heard of these social feeds. Seems like I only see them if I go out of my way to find people and look… is that how you see them? Is there another feed somewhere that lets you see them all?
@Smok3y on a desktop you can click “social feed” at the far right up top or see new posts in the lower right column. Other than that you can see what people post if you’re following them and choose to be alerted when they post or go to their profile.

If you look in the top banner click on "SOCIAL" and it will take you there........If a member places a post, the social icon will light.

Administrator Michael posted pictures the link I posted.
