Question for Daystate owners

[Rangeland]

I have a Daystate Huntsman Regal. The pressure gage on the rifle reads left to right, red, yellow, green. When I pump the rifle up the arrow goes to the right of green. 

When should the rifle be re pumped up? When the arrow gets to the red? When the arrow gets to the yellow? Etc?

I haven't seen anything in the owners manual that gives this information.

I have a Huntsman revere and when it gets into the red means it it’s getting too low and needs to be pumped up.Mine is regulated at 150 bar So I’ll pump mine back up when it gets somewhere around the middle of the yellow. I would have to crony it to get an exact reading though.

In the rifle there is something that says: SWA and a number (220-230-240-250). Those are the Bars up to which the rifle can be filled.

I fill mine just before it hits the red, it shoots better if not in the red.

My huntsman revere the gauge isnt accurate when its about 1/16" from the red the POI drops about an inch if i shoot in the red it shoots at least and inch low at 35 yards

My personal meassure to know how many shots per fill I can get out of any rifle is: " How many shots can you hit with the same point of impact at 50 yards?"... Once it start to hit down, for me, the party is over.

I never look at any of my pcp gauges but look at a bigger gauge which will be more accurate. I had this made and it works great:

i shot mine over a chrony to get a decent ES in a pressure range. It comes out to about 220bar to about 150bar, and i get just over 40 shots at that.

Now, at 25 yards in my tiny back yard, I can get about 60 accurate shots, but I am sure those will fall apart at longer ranges, so I keep it to 40.

Look in your rifle for one like this:

I wait until the needle is 1/3 to 1/2 in the yellow portion of the gauge and then refill.

I have an Air Ranger that’s unregulated and it’s tuned to shoot 18.1’s at 850. I fill it to 2700 and get 60 shots with an extreme spread of 20 for 60 shots. So I just shoot 6 mags and refill, I really don’t rely on the gauge. 


A chronograph is a must have with these guns, without one you are just guessing.
