Question for FX owners

Can I install a .25 or .30 cal hammer weight in my .22?

The hammers weights are 7, 11 and 13 grams. The weight has more to do with reg pressure than caliber actually, heavier weight is needed to open valve with higher reg pressure holding the valve closed.

7g = up to 115 bars
11g = 120 - 150 bars
13g = 150 - 160 bars

If you use 13g hammer with 90 bar reg pressure your valve will be open for too long which will have have really loud muzzle report and bad accuracy. Or hammer bounce and lose power but still very loud.

There are other options out there as well if you want to go higher on the regulators. Just know that FX states that anything over 175bar will void the warranty.
Does that include the front reg? I was always interested on how they would go about the longevity of the first reg always being at high pressures. I remember when the amp first came out Ernest would say never to go higher than 150 bar. In the maverick the first reg looks like a standard amp, so what makes the. Capable of going much higher in pressure? Did they redesign them?

Your talking about older FX airguns like the Bobcat and the Royale. The video he did on the Maverick with the slug power kit, he set the 1st reg to 180 and the 2nd to 150bar.

No, when I got my impact, and crown both with amp regs, they said NOT to go past 150 bar reg pressure. It also said it would void the warranty if you did.
