HW/Weihrauch Question for HW30 shooters (particularly if they also shoot an HW97)

I’ve had an HW30, for over a year and have been really enjoying it. Last week I swapped my Hawke Vantage 3-7x40 for a AIRMAX 4-12x40. I don’t personally know any other HW30 owners. My questions are 1) how accurate can I expect this little rifle be at 50 yards? I’ve just started shooting this distance at a range and I’ll try and attach what I consider a good 5 shot group at 50y. Second question, 2) I’ve just ordered an HW97 and a Hawke 6-24x50 AIRMAX IR, can I expect better accuracy at 50 yards with this fixed barrel springer? 3) I know each gun may have its pellet preference, are there any you recommend that are outstanding at 50 yards? Thanks for any comments from shooters with these specific rifles!

Strictly hypothetical question: If you had just one air rifle and it was a HW30s in .177 cal, and you used it for plinking and a little target shooting at 25 to 50 yards which Hawke scope would you put on it? (Most of the target shooting would be at 30 yards/)
One gun & One scope - Thanks
Hi Tarheel, I originally put a Hawke Vantage 2-7x32 AO on mine for plinking and targets. I liked the vantage and it worked great to 30 yards or so. When I realized (happily surprised) the HW30S .177 could actually hit a 4” target at 50 yards I kicked myself for getting the Vantage 2-7 because I was certain a higher power would have been better. I bit the bullet and bought a Hawke 4-12x40 AO Airmax and mounted it just a couple weeks ago. What a difference. So if you have the budget for that higher power scope (the vantage also comes in that magnification for a bit less $s), that’s what I’d recommend. lifetime warranty. Word of advice though, if you are not familiar with the “artillery hold” when shooting a Springer I strongly recommend you do some research on YouTube for advice. It will be well worth your time. You will love the HW30 I’m certain. Hope that helps. But if you are on a tight budget the 2-7 would be fine if up to 30 yards is your range with occasional 50. i was using the 2-7 to consistoy hit a 4” target at 50y, but I get pretty darn good groups with the AIRMAX 4-12.
