Question for the backyard plinkers

Hello everyone. I hope you all are having a good day. I’m mostly a backyard plinker. In my city, there’s a city code that requires everyone living in the city limits must have a rock/cement wall in their backyard. My yard measures 25 yards wide. I was curious what you all are using for a backstop (if you use one). I need some ideas. Thanks in advance.

I use a wooden box filled with duct seal (It looks like C4)…

An 18" cube (basically), foam archery target.
So far, it's lasted roughly 5 years without needing replacement. I shoot indoors. My yard is about 40 x 20 yards. But I have similar restrictions as you (the OP), but with no concrete wall !
The good thing, it's VERY quiet. No pellet sounds hitting the steel backstop.

Mike, may I ask if the pellets/slugs penetrate the archery foam target box? Thanks in advance 🙏.

I second this. The one I had was 24" cube. It lasted a few years with .22 pellets.

Here is some more ideas.

You can use cinder blocks but you would need to put some plywood in front so you don't break them with misses. I like railroad ties, they are much more durable, but they won't satisfy the "code police"
I was thinking railroad ties cut in half to make it four feet tall. My city mandated back wall is five feet tall, so it may not be a problem.

My backyard PCP is my Notos. I’ve added the Huben regulator and a bottle for more shots/FPE.
Nothing outrageous.
Ah that's excellent. A lot of guys here have that rifle. I had to do the same thing with my Zelos , but for now just have a cheapo bottle adapter. I can't wait to get my Zelos Huben Regulator , so I can see how many shots I get.
I live in a duplex , and can't have pellets hitting plywood like a hammer , so I use a square cardboard box a big one with about 50 pieces of cardboard stacked in there. Works great very silent.
