Western Airguns [Question] Rattler STILL leaking, help is appreciated! Pics & vid included

The following is an abridged summary, at first it had a slow leak from the plenum pressure gauge. I installed a new oring sent from AOA (this was like ~2 years ago, I had one of the first). Before doing the installation I removed the bottle to make sure it was fully depressurized. I’m assuming it was during this process that something got messed up. When I tried reattaching the bottle and gassing it up there was now a new leak from where the valve meets the gun. I ordered an o ring replacement kit from AoA and used one of what I believe is the same size (just new, so slight variations) according to Mitutoyo digital calipers. The leak is still there

I’m not sure what to do, unfortunately I was extremely slow to act due to life events which put me well outside any type of warranty. I’ve included pictures, my next guess would be to use a larger oring in the bottle valve.

Also is there only 1 oring between the female threaded section of the bottle valve and the male section of the gun because it seems like there could be a spot for a second but there was never one there? I’ve included a cross section drawing below. I installed the new o ring where the red is, but it almost seems like one could fit where the blue is as well.

Thank you in advance and have a fantastic Thanksgiving 🍂🥧

Regarding 1 vs 2 o rings and their placement…?

Thanks again!

O-ring in blue area would be very dangerous. Air would not bleed off and you would have pressure until bottle came off threads launching bottle.

Red o-ring difficult to install properly. These are fx valves or at least were on the LCS.
Yeah the oring is an absolute pain to replace. I just don’t understand why I’m having this same problem, the first o ring seemed fine as well. And good point about the second o ring! Thank you for responding!

Check orings whre valve attaches to bottle and where male bottle adapter attaches to gun.
My understanding is there’s no oring between the bottle valve and where it meets the gun, and the threading goes all the way to the flat so there isn’t really anywhere it could go. However between the valve and the bottle there definitely is!

I think I was not clear enough. When the bottle is off the gun. The corbon fiber bottle has a steel valve in it. There should be an o-ring between bottle and steel valve. Also, the male thread on the gun is a separate steel part, it should have an o-ring underneath where it is screwed into the aluminum. In your soapy water video it seemed there were bubble coming from both of those connections.

Yes I understood! You have a really good eye, it does look like there’s a tiny amount of air escaping between the valve and the bottle which I didn’t notice at first
