Questions on Brocock Contour S6 Elite

Thanks yes I had found quite a few of those conversations using the forum search capabilities before I posted my question.
Not many of those conversations seemed to answer my specific questions.
Looking in other sources it appears they may have stopped building the Contour Elite S6 in 2015 after Brocock was acquired by Diana of Italy.
It also sounds as though earlier models (pre-2015) may have lesser fit and finish, more tolerances and associated problems.

Still have not found much insight into current worth as used guns.
Have not been able to find any info on serials and date of production either.

Seems like a pretty handy design, shame it went away.

Thanks again for your suggestion.

I still have my Brocock Contour S6 Elite. I purchased mine sometime in 2016 from Topgun-Airguns for around $650.00 brand new. I believe those rifles were the last in the inventory. I recall Airguns of Arizona added them to their line with the skeleton stock and then the newer updated stocks within that time frame. Yes, they do have indexing problems depending on what pellets you use. The plastic pawl is the weak link.

Thanks for your post.
Very pretty.
Was the newer stock a more traditional thumbhole or something else?
Have seen conflicting comments on the timing of which was newer.
Does the pawl wear or is the issue manufacturing tolerances and variations between mag slots or pawl dimensions?
Can the plastic pawl be replaced with metal?

So to summarize, any Contour Elite is likely at least 6 years old, has issues with magazine indexing but looks awesome.
I like the fact it is not an AR look. I like the size and compact design.
Have not recently seen anything similar that is not based on an AR style platform.

I sold a Concept Elite S6 about a year ago. I got more out of it than I thought I would. Listed it for about $150 more than I expected it was worth, thinking the potential buyer would play the dickering game. And I had also kind of built the shipping cost into my asking price. Nope. Guy said he wanted it at the listed price. I think I had it listed for $500-550 but don't remember exact amount. Some guys just value that older, classic look much more so than the tacticool stuff that is all the rage. He also had another couple variations of the original Concept/Contour line and wanted to add mine to his collection. So value, like always, is simply about how bad the buyer wants it.

Really nice guns. Nearly all metal, decent bluing, and the stock on the Concept Elite that I sold was walnut. I had 4 of the metal revolver cylinder like magazines and never had any trouble with them. I was original owner and had it about 4 years-shot lots of pellets through that gun.

FYI, for moderator attachment, the "Contours" I think had a less-used shroud/barrel thread, maybe M10. The "Concepts" had a standard 1/2x20. But both used the same breech and magazine system, to my knowledge at least.

Here, I found the ad: https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/sold-brocock-concept-elite-s6-177.1100059/

Not the exact gun you're looking for used prices for, but a very similar one.

Not my pic but I remember AoA selling the Contour sometime around 2016-2017 with the newer Minelli stocks.

In regards to the metal indexing pawl, I've never seen one. Mine still works but I would like to pick up some spares if it ever breaks. The Contour Elite puts out about 16 FPE. I use mine mainly for rats around the house because of the lower FPE. I hardly shoot it these days because of other PCPs' I have in rotation. I still like the looks of it and it's such a lightweight handy little PCP.

That price sound about right. I have the original Brocock Concept and Concept Elite, both in 177. Both highly accurate thanks to the HW Weirauch barrels that were made for Brocock at the time. Daystate sold all of the old stock off and designed their own models after the Silco brothers finished. The Brococks now are totally different, with more influence from Daystae designs. They have all been tactical or bullpup designs since and are fitted with Lothar Waltar barrels. It would be nice if they designed another classis Walnut Contour style stock again, but they seem to have set their designs as they are.
As far as the magazine go, that was their only downside. Only 6 shots, and the pellets tend to fall out in place, and just cause too many issues. A good aftermarket replacement would make the World of difference, but as they are no longer produced, there isn't much support by the 3D printer Sellers. Great rifles though, and can shoot as good as the best on the market.
