Questions regarding Speed Silhoutte Competition

I looked at the Extreme Benchrest site, http://www.extremebenchrest.com/, about the rules for speed shooting. I have a few questions if anyone may know the answer.

1. Can a one piece rest be use? I didn't see in the rules that it could not be used, however, it did not say it could be used. On other the shooting events, in states it can be used for that particular event.

2. What distances are the targets set up for? The rules shows 16 targets between 30-60 yards. Is the yardage equally divided between 30-60 or is it set at the time of the shoot?

I don't recall the official rules on the 1 piece bench. But, I wouldn't use one anyway. You're going to be moving a LOT during that competition! I'd recommend a sandbag or bipod front rest. 

The targets are set up at 30,40,50,and 60 yards. Little guys up front big guys in the back!

Yes the targets are set up equally. 4 at 30, 4 at 40, 4 at 50 and 4 at 60 yards exactly as you stated...targets are arranged small to large/front to back.

I can give a front rest a try as well as the sand bags, I have both.

On shooting the targets, is it like shooting silhouette? Meaning you have to shoot certain critters in a certain order?

It seems like the rules are a little vague.

Yes it is. I just watched the video on it.

The rules indicate the targets are the .22 LR silhouette targets. By watching the video, the targets appear to be larger than the 1/5 scale that is used in silhouette. Anyone know what the scale size of the targets are?

I believe there are the 1/5 scale Silhouette and Tominco has it right smallest target at 30 and the largest are at 60. 4 animals at 30 yards, 4 animals at 40 yards, 4 animals at 50 yards, and 4 animals at 60 yards. A total of 16 animals in as fast as you can. It is an adrenaline rush.

The targets are 1/5 scale, and only front rests are allowed.

II have never tried it with a rear rest, but I think it would slow you down. Even on a flat range, when you are on a bench, you have to elevate to the next target set as well as pan accros the targets at each range.

They are .25 thick.

I bought a set on eBay. Mine has the bases. You can buy with our without bases. If you have a plasma cutter you can make your own set and weld bases to them. I saw some patterns that could be converted to a g code for the plasma.
