Quietest moderator for 30 Cal FX Impact Compact

If you want quite. Reach out to Allen Zasadny. You can find his number through the FX dealer listing. He is in northern Idaho. But your going to need to send him the gun so he can build you one. He doesn’t mass produce them. Each one is custom built to each gun and how it’s tuned. Along with the pellets or slug your shooting. It’s going to take time so don’t be in a hurry. He is one of the best out there at age 70. He does most of his work during the winter because he is building a house. He built and tuned my FX. He also did a full ballistics dial for death on it.
There’s an old saying he lives by.
There’s three types of builders out there.
Fast, Cheep, and Good. You can only pick two.
You can have Fast and Cheep. But it won’t be good.
You can have Good and Cheep. But it won’t be Fast.
You can have Good and Fast. But it won’t be Cheep.
My gun took a year for him to build and tune. He completely tears it down and fixes all the issues that come out of the factory. Adjusts the trigger to what ever like. Single or duel stage. I like my duel stage with about 3.5 Oz. The thing is. If he sets it up for a certain pellet. You can never change it or the ballistics will be off.

On my .22 & .25 Crowns I have the FX Donny FL and a 0dB in 130 and 160. They all work well. The 160 0dB was extremely effective on the RAW HM1000x.
I have the all aluminum Airgun Capital moderator on order. I expect it to arrive by the weekend. I’m quite pleased with the other three mentioned above but the Airgun Capital description of the all aluminum one said this:
WARNING: MAKE SURE PEOPLE KNOW YOU ARE SHOOTING. THEY WILL NOT HEAR YOUR GUN, and it was in red. Maybe it’s hype but it caught my eye so thought I’d try it. Plus the site had a pop up that offered 15% off so I jumped on it.
I have bought some 3D printed moderators that were so so. I’m not a big fan of 3D printed stuff. They weren’t too bad but it just bothers me putting something like that, with all its rastor, onto a $1500 rifle. But I will admit, I bought a printed one from somewhere for like $20 shipped for my CO2 Diana Chaser and OMG it is amazing how effective it is.
So we’ll see how this new one works.
Sorry about the bold. Could not shut it off after I pasted the warning from Capital Airguns site.
Link below is of the moderator I have coming.
There is also a YT video where a guy tests about 20 or 30 moderators. The 0dB came out on top. It’s worth watching.

Rather than edit my post (#3), I’ll share what I learned from the new Airgun Capital aluminum moderator.
Moderator arrived yesterday. Super easy to assemble/disassemble. Probably not necessary to disassemble it on an airgun since there’s no gun powder involved.
Without the use of a sound meter I would say it is the same report as my 0dB moderator. It’s a touch heavier but not by much. It is very well built with flawless finish even on the internal cones.
The nicest part, considering the noise level compared to the 0dB is that it’s $50 cheaper than the 0dB. To a Slovenian, that’s huge. 😆
