R U a fully admitted ADDICT ??? lol

Hey all, I'm back from agn purgatory. I have surf-shark and utube was asking ?s and wanting me 2 agree 2 I have no idea what 2. So I switched my normal routine to circumvent the info gathering bots. ( yea yea I know, paranoid until someone tells u I told u so ) It worked,so to speak until I tried to sign into AGN.I got banned by an auto-bot thingy and my only recourse ( and I tried repeated attempts thru using a couple of (anonymous members) to contact the Administrator but that does'nt get thru ) ( Sry Mike,no dis 2 u it's ,THE SYSTEM !!!! is controlling and manipulating us all ) to get back here was to create a new gmail acc. The shame of this ordeal was there was this thread that I really would have loved 2 have 2 have been involved in or at least bookmarked-save about the HW 97 springer among HW 97 owners. I'll find it again. BUT ANYHOOS,,,lol... I took a break from the HW97 and pulled out my BEEMAN R-9 that I had gotten in 2021. Well the dam thing (mine anyways) is a laser with JSB 15.89 pellets out to 25yds. Which I had forgotten,,,I have a legitimate excuse for that,,seriously I do,,,,.So FINALLY to the topic of the thread. As the evening began to wane, I was apologizing to the rifle for missing. So I said 2 myself " u need 2 get out more. The rifle said,u have 2 tolerate them,,,u just have to enjoy me. I said BestFriendsForLife. Yes,Yes I shoot springers,I can't help it. And YOU BETTER NOT TRY AND MAKE ME STOP !!!!!!!!!!! lol

Maybe.

Yes and no. I found the strength to sell them all off but the R9. The R9 is my baby.

But I fight the urge to buy cheap guns and tinker with them all the time. I also fight the urge to buy a HW97, TX200, or Diana 54 all the time.

As well, I fight the urge to buy a Hatsan 135 and send it to Mike Ellingsworth or John in PA for the works.

And most recently I saw a Made in Brum Webley Patriot .22 in the classifieds. Now THERE is a gun. I want it so bad.

Mostly I just peruse the forums and covet other people’s stuff. Admittedly I do it more than I shoot or hunt, I definitely have a problem. Am I winning or losing here?

Bryan. I think we like the same things. My 95 is my favorite Weihrauch. Started with the R9 when they first came out decades ago. It was a .177 and later I became a .22 fan. Got rid of the the .177 and had to get that model (R9/95) back into my life and it’s still my favorite. I have most models of the Weihrauch line and still shoot the 95 more than the rest combined. My favorite shooters in order of power are: Hatsan 135 (when it needs to get there in a hurry), HW95 (when it gets there it needs to be spot on), Slavia 618 (when I’m hunting those miserable bore bees and shoot them out of the sky). If I accidentally hit the house it will be an easier fix.

I think you are showing good self discipline. I to can get to wrapped up in wanting more. Remember, we don’t really own anything. We are just caretakers.

Not prepared to admit to being an addict, but I am collector of certain models and by acknowledging and accepting the title I rid myself of the guilt of owning more air guns than I shoot, lol! I justified owning two of the same model and caliber because one would be scoped and the other would retain its OEM diopter sight system. I justified a third as a backup in case one of the first two ever broke but agonized terribly over buying a fourth, telling myself I didn't need it, I just wanted it. I finally acknowledged I had become a collector making the path to a fifth one quick and painless. Is there a sixth one in my future???????

As the saying goes; “he who dies with the most 55’s, WINS”!

Jim, I’m impressed that you can admit to being an addict so easily. But if you have 53 rifles and 60 scopes you have an imbalance issue and need to quickly order the appropriate number of new rifles to fix the problem before it really gets out of hand. Seven more rifles and you can dial it back to an acceptable balance!

Lol
