R U using Accu Tac?

I have used a few different accutacs , PC4, BR4 and the HD50. I have also used the Atlas BT65 (had quite a bit more bounce than any accu-tac I have used) and I currently own an Evolutions Bipod and an Accutac br4

Accutac is 100% worth the money IMO, my biggest gripe with them is the pull and move deployment is not the fastest when positioning the legs into different angles. They absolutely have the most stability out of any I have listed or used that I have not listed. The BR4 G2 is the perfect all around accu-tac, small and very very stable, other users like @L.Leon have had great luck with their BR4 bipods as well.

I've been using UTG Recon's on my RAW's and wonder how much better the Accu-tac and Atlas's would feel?
What would I notice to make me never want to go back to UTG's?
No ball socket flex forward and back. With the wide body there is no way that thing will tip over. I wish I had more of these.

Here is a couple of old pics. But I remember when this thing got knocked over because it was on a folding table.

Not going to happen with this one below. Wish I had a better picture of wide stance in front.

Side by side. But not from front.

If I find better pictures later today of how wide a stance this thing is I will post. But not movement unless you unlock. No rocking, and mine has pan which really is nice to have versus the rubber feet draging on table.

I have this one on my mini tripod. Works great and I enjoy it. I have the older 52mm version shown in the pics on it.

I have a Vault Wrecking ball on my large tripod I also really like.

Which tripod head do you have? You should be able to lock that out but all depends. One I have doesn't the other one I do have does.

I was hoping that I could lock the cant, but still move vertically and pan from the base. I haven’t been able to make it work for me, though I haven’t given it much chance beyond initial frustration …

R U? Do you think they're worth the $?
If so, which model? Wide body? Model #?
I think so. I have tried many, and still have an Atlas. But my go to is my Accutac FC4. The super wide stance is amazing. It made a huge difference in stability especially when I had it with an Impact (which was really too heavy). As many things as I have bought and sold to try something else, I haven’t sold this bipod.

The adjustments on the Accu -Tac are quick and the leg lockups at the different positions are rock solid. I also own a UTG Recon, it doesn’t even “begin” to compare. The only thing it has in common with the BR-4 is that their both bipods.🤓I like that the Recon is lighter, and still use it, but not on my primary rig when going after pests.

SR-5 G2
wider base and i like to run the legs forward so there is no rocking.

worth it is a relative term. if your rifle isn't very accurate, the value of a better bipod is probably negligible.

i have harris, atlas and accu-tac bipods. for bench i swap the accu-tac between platforms and the atlas is for the field to save a little weight.
