N/A R3 or maverick

I’d go for the maverick only because it’s magazine fed and the R3 is single shot. Now if you had said the R5M then it would be no question .

On one hand, I agree with Hobbyman.
On the other hand, parts (as required) may be difficult to get for the R5M (NOT R3...too old), on the other hand, the Maverick is still around, and there's many locations to get custom parts.
The Edgun is a much more "stout" (tougher) gun than the Maverick. It'll withstand more abuse, if that may be part of its future.
O-ring "kits" are available for both.

I plan on mostly hunting with a bit of target practice from time to time so being easy to work on and stout is a plus for the r3 for me
