So today I was taking a few shots with my R5 and keep things moving on it doesn’t get much range time lately. Anyway I shot 3x then filled up and hit low at 50 yds, way low.
shot a couple more over the crony dang lost about 200 FPS but, holy cow my es was only 3 FPS. Now I’ve always had a 10fps deviation. The sound of the ping was different too. So I took the gun apart checked all the o rings and the valve stem. All was good. While I was in there I dropped the red to 130 put it all back together and bam back to normal. I frogot to mention that when I lost FPS I increased the hammer spring and only gained about 20 FPS. When I put it back together I backed the spring back off then Shot it over the crony. The reg was spot on with FPS and the ping was duller.
My question is what would of caused this my guess is the hammer spring had been bound or something then it fixed its self or something. Option 2 was valve lock maybe...
