R5M 25 cal (Standard) Velocities

For those of you with the shorter R5M standard in 25 cal, what kind of velocities are you seeing with it?

Around 928ft/sec with the 25.39s

Out of the box was averaging about 912 fps with 25.39gr. I've since turned it down to around 880.

Huma reg set at 120bar velocity at 920fps 25.39gr.

The one Steve is testing (AEAC) was sent to him tuned for 890 to 895 FPS with the Kings.

Thanks! Knowing what I know of EDguns, this info paints a good picture for me on what to expect from power tuning. 

Another question - does anyone have the standard and Lelya? If so, how does the R5M feel in the hands or in the field in comparison?

Power tuning as far as what exactly? I’ve had an .25 R5M standard and .25 R5M Long and both were ok accuracy wise from about 880 to 920 with the 25.4 grain JSB Kings. Maybe I was just unlucky but I couldn’t get either to shoot the Heavies accurately any better than quarter size groups at 50 yards. I didn’t try slugs with either. I have an .25 R5 Super Magnum single shot that is much more accurate than either of the R5Ms but I never figured out why other than the barrel lottery?

Slugs only. How tight were they seating for you? I've had good success with every LW barrel in all of my EDGuns, but I have had to work on some a lot more than others. Not a huge deal for me and I enjoy it. It's largely dependent on having the right tools, I have a small collection of tools already that I have purchased custom made from Dave Kiff and everything I need for re-crowning and various types of chamfers with other hand tools that I've amassed. Getting a real good feel for barrel throating too, it's incredible what removing a few thou of material can do for slug accuracy when you go slow and get it just right

It's too windy for Kings here. 43.5gr at 790fps would be fine though.

Don't be afraid to push the JSB.25 pellets velocity some, my Eddie's prefer a bit faster than suggested, do have to acknowledge I'm talking R3M long not the R5M. Mine loves JSB 25.4 @ 946 fps. Like in 17 consecutive shots @ 90 yards, .75" ctc!
