R5M bleed screw leak - help needed

I went to remove the air tube from my R5, no problem there. When I was bleeding it I backed the bleed screw out all the way while it was still filled with ~100bar. There was a bit of a pop as the screw came out. Now when I try to fill the tube back up the bleed screw will not seal. Is there supposed to be something under the bleed screw that it meshes with - maybe it flew out of the hole, but I don't even know what I should be looking for.

Anyone with some knowledge here please assist. Thanks.

Yep … you done it this time … ruined the gun beyond all repair … might as well throw it in the trash. Only playing with your head ctshooter!!!!

You are right, there was something under the bleed screw. It was a little ball bearing. The bleed screw is just a screw that fits the threads. What the screw holds down is what keeps the air in the reservoir. An itsy bitsy teeny weenie ball bearing. I can tell you from experience that you are gonna play heck trying to find that little ball bearing. Might be better to talk to the folks at Edgun West to try and get them to send you another one. If you had watched the video on the R5M it would have told you to just crack the seal by just loosening the screw a little bit and releasing enough pressure on the ball bearing to let the air out.

There is another ball bearing on the muzzle end of the gun right underneath the ring that you turn to expose the hole for the fill probe to fit into. It is probably the same size as the one you lost, but you can feel the ball bearing (which has a spring underneath it) as you turn the ring and it clicks in place. All you need is another ball bearing … take the screw all the way out like you did when you lost it and fit the new one in there and screw the screw back down.

If you are looking for it on the floor, it is a silver ball bearing about the size of a pin head.

Good Luck
