I have a .25 R5M long with a picatinny rail on the forestock. I also have a Harris bipod from another powder burner rifle. I have an adapter coming in the mail. The Harris has a spot for a sling and was wondering how anyone may have drilled the rear stock for a slingstud. Experiences, mistakes, general advice? Plus if you have pics of your sling setup please post those as well.

Do not scrimp on your hardware! I saw a 3k rifle fall from my buddy's shoulder because of cheap crap mlock landed 25' down a rocky incline we we're climbing...not pretty

I don’t think I skimped, it’s a three screw adapter plate that got rock solid reviews. And it’s a genuine Harris not a knock off. Was wondering where on the rear stock are most finding the sturdiest place to mount the rear stud...

Not the same gun but I just drilled and installed sling studs. Just take your time. Sharp bits, block of scrap to test on. I used a bigger bit to inset the stud so it sets flat on the curved surface.

Single point sling, not studs required. BlueForce makes a good QD that can thread in the generous rear eyelet.
