Nice shooting man. Those R9's can be amazingly accurate. As far as a spring compressor I just built one. It is dead simple and I just used an old C clamp that I had lying around. I made it from a piece of 6x6 pressure treated wood I had laying around. Planed the main spar down to like 2.5 inches thickness and used the rest of the length to make the blocks etc. Very simple. I am destroking my RWS54 to a 12ftlbs rifle. Good luck with your Weirauch man.

Hey thanks man I can post here some occasionally but I have been working on this thing since before I moved from Tennessee. I have a running thread about it on the Dianawerk Collective page. It is called Project Lead Sled. There are actually two pages part one and part two since it was running long on the first one. You can read my goings on over there to see what I have done so far. It is an interesting project and I hope to finally finish it here soon. Then once I do I will be making a nice chunky custom FT stock for it. I have already started a CAD Drawing for the inletting of that action so I can cut it on my VMC. I will post here sometimes about it when I have something to show. Thanks for interest.

No Problem man. Perhaps my mindless ramblings about it might help someone or possibly inspire someone else to take the leap. The idea of a 12ftlbs FT short stroke version of the RWS54 is just too tasty to ignore. I am glad I have one here to tinker on. I will be posting occasionally as I have things to show. Now that we are in Florida again and I have some time off in the evenings hopefully things will start progressing again. Peace my friend..
