Rabbit magnum .177 too tight

Hello folks just wondering why my pp700sa 16 inch barrel cannot fit this pellet. I know that for example some slugs have slightly larger diameter but this is a generic pellet. Also unlike some pellets it tells you its .178 this is .177. It does fit but very tight and Im worried it wont go through when fired.

Anybody have issues such as this?

I forgot to mention I checked the place I bought the H&N and its advertised as 4.50mm. I also tried JSB match diablo EXACT BEAST Diablo in 4.52 16.20gr and it fits perfectly, just a very slight push into the barrel. Yes why will the 4.50mm not fit???

How tight do you mean? Can you fully seat the pellet by just pressing in with your finger/thumb? Or do you need to change your whole grip on the gun and press hard to get the pellet to seat?

As long as you have adequate pressure (above the red) even a tight fitting pellet should fire , however accuracy will be another story.

No it’s pretty tight gotta change grip. It’s strange as it’s measured 4.50 yet the one that fits is 4.51.
I don’t think it’s the shape cuz the 4.50 is just like cylinder. I was able to push it in with force but to scared to fire. To get it out I used a cleaning rod.

Anyways thanks for advice I’ll stick to 4.51 for now and give this one away. Lol

If you were able to push it out with a rod before firing, I would say it’s worth a shot to try and fire it ? Your airgun should put out enough power, I wouldn’t worry about it getting stuck unless you think they are severely over sized (.20 instead of .177).
Worst case scenario you fire and nothing happens, you just have to push it out again

Just pay attention to see if the pellet actually does come out or not. You really don’t want multiple pellets to get stuck in the barrel.
